Aaron M. Mach

Mr. Mach is a proven leader in the EOD career field across the EOD spectrum, operating in both combat and non-combat theaters across the world. He is a Master Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician with over 20 years’ experience including work with the United States (US) Department of Homeland Security, the US Secret Service, the US State Department and the United Nations. He has developed, instructed and facilitated courses on explosive hazards and counter improvised explosive
device (CIED) operations and tactics all over Asia and Eastern Europe with a multitude of US and foreign militaries. He has served 3 deployments in Afghanistan, most recently as the EOD Commander of US Forces Afghanistan in 2019-2020. He holds a Master of Arts in International Security Studies and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Colorado.

Dan T. Henderson III

Mr. Henderson is an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Improvised Explosive Device (IED) defeat subject matter expert with 20 years of operational experience. He is a Master EOD Technician with experience performing explosive detection and mitigation and is a subject matter expert in counter improvised explosive device (CIED) operations and tactics. Mr. Henderson has completed over 200 emergency explosives response missions in support of US Federal, State and Local authorities and 55 Very Important Person Protective Support Activity (VIPPSA) protective missions in support of the US Secret Service and the US Department of State. He developed, evaluated and executed a Special Operation Forces EOD Training Program. Mr. Henderson has served as lead Humanitarian Mine Action Instructor for Georgia and Kosovo. He also developed, validated and provided formal CIED training to more than 400 Partner Nation Forces including NATO, Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Iraq, Niger, and Nigeria. Performed critical explosives vulnerability assessments in support of the US Department of Defense, US Embassies, and other foreign facilities. Mr. Henderson served 5 deployments with the US Army to Iraq, Afghanistan and Africa, where he spearheaded the CIED and counter arms proliferation efforts in North and West Africa.

Nicholas (Nick) J. Shepherd

Nick earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. He has over 20 years of professional experience in threat assessment and mitigation for the United States (US) Government. A Master Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician, he has expertise in security and direct-action response from his several combat tours while in the US Army. He is experienced in unexploded ordnance (UXO) and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN), counter improvised explosive device (CIED) and IED defeat operations. Nick has performed several Very
Important Person Protective Support Activity (VIPPSA) missions domestically and internationally in support of the United States Secret Service (USSS). Nick has years of experience working with
International Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technicians, building relationships while continuing to learn and hone his craft with the latest Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP’s) from around the globe.
